Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Matthew Ethan Lee-Mattner (ABN 64768343357), trading as Quotewise (“we”, “us”), handles personal information. We keep it short and plain: we collect what we need to run the Service, we don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Two roles
- Account data (we're the controller). Information about the businesses that use Quotewise and their team members.
- Lead data (we're a processor). When a customer submits a quote request through a business's calculator, we process it on that business's behalf and under its instructions. The business is responsible for its own privacy notice; our Data Processing Addendum governs that processing. If you submitted a request and want to access or delete it, contact the business, and we'll help them respond.

We don't knowingly collect information from children, and the Service isn't intended for people under 18.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a sign-in session cookie for the dashboard. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our calculators set no cookies on your customers' devices. Calculator view counts are anonymous and cookieless.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Quotewise (listed on our subprocessors page: hosting, database, email delivery, payments and AI), professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires. Each is bound to protect the information and use it only to provide their service. AI providers don't use the content we send to train their models.
Where it's stored
Our database is hosted in the United States (AWS us-west-1, Northern California, via Supabase) and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. For transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum (or an adequacy decision where available).
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closure.
- Billing records: 7 years, as tax law requires.
- Leads: until the business deletes them or closes its account, and no longer than 24 months after they're received.
- Security logs and rate-limit data: up to 30 days.
- Support conversations: up to 24 months.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, database row-level security, least-privilege access, signed webhooks, rate limiting and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information we'll notify you and regulators as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the Australian Privacy Principles, GDPR, UK GDPR and US state privacy laws) you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal information, and object to certain processing. Most account data can be changed or deleted in the dashboard. To make a request, email support@getquotewise.com; we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local regulator. In Australia that's the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Emails
We send service emails you need (sign-in links, lead alerts, billing notices). In your first month we also send a few setup tips about getting quote requests, and one of them may suggest a paid plan. You're told about these when you sign up, and every tip has a one-click unsubscribe link. We don't send you any other marketing email unless you opt in.
