We count visits to getquotewise.com with Plausible Analytics. It tells us which pages and features get used and where visitors come from, so we know what to fix and where to advertise.

What it doesn't do

• It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
• It doesn't store IP addresses. Plausible combines your IP address and browser type into an anonymous ID that changes every day, so a visit can't be linked to you, or to your visits on other days or other sites.
• It never records names, email addresses, phone numbers or anything you type into a form.
• It doesn't run on quote pages or embedded calculators, the pages our customers' own customers see. Those keep anonymous view counts only, which the business sees in its dashboard.

What it records

• The page address, with record IDs and sign-in or invite codes removed, and the site that linked you here, including campaign tags like utm_source.
• Your browser, operating system, device type and country (worked out from your IP address, which is then discarded).
• How far down the page you scroll and how long you stay.
• Actions such as clicking a sign-up button, trying the demo calculator, publishing a calculator, copying the embed code, starting checkout and the plan and amount of a purchase.
• On signed-in pages, the account's plan and your role (owner, admin or member), so we can see which plans use which features.
